Singing bowl treatment
A singing bowl treatment invites deep relaxation and stillness. The sounds and vibrations of the bowls resonate throughout the body, allowing tension to soften. Many people experience greater clarity, inner calm and a lighter feeling in the body after a session. A moment of quiet in which you are invited to slow down and listen.
Information
During my journey through Thailand in 2023, I experienced my first singing bowl treatment. The deep relaxation I felt at that time touched me so deeply that I decided to explore it further. I now share this special experience in my practice, so that you too can find a moment of calm in a world full of stimuli.
Experience deep relaxation with singing bowls
A singing bowl treatment is a calming moment in which you don’t have to do anything: you are simply invited to receive. As you lie comfortably, you are surrounded by sounds that encourage you to slow down, let go and move out of your head and back into your body. A treatment for those who long for stillness, relaxation and a moment entirely for themselves.
What is a singing bowl treatment?
During a singing bowl treatment, various singing bowls and other instruments are used to create deep, harmonious sounds. These sounds fill the space and are not only heard, but also felt throughout the body, allowing relaxation and stillness to arise.
Singing bowls originate from the Himalayan region, where they have been used for centuries in meditation and relaxation rituals. The sounds create vibrations that travel through the body. As the body consists largely of water, these vibrations can resonate deeply, helping to soften tension and bring the body into a state of rest.
There are metal, golden-coloured singing bowls with deep, grounding tones, as well as crystal singing bowls with clear, refined sounds. In my treatments, I combine both types, creating a rich and layered soundscape. This combination invites deeper relaxation and may contribute to a sense of harmony and inner calm.
When to choose a singing bowl treatment?
A singing bowl treatment is often chosen when you:
-
notice that your mind feels full or restless
-
long for deep relaxation without touch
-
are sensitive to stimuli
-
desire stillness, calm and a moment of slowing down
Many people experience deep relaxation and a quieter mind after a singing bowl treatment. Some feel lighter, more grounded, or notice that the body continues to gently resonate with the sounds for a while. Every experience is different and is allowed to be exactly as it comes.
What can you expect?
You lie comfortably on the treatment table, fully clothed, with a blanket placed over you. The singing bowls are positioned around you and gently played, allowing the sounds and vibrations to guide you. The treatment unfolds in calm and silence, without anything you need to do. You don’t have to experience or understand anything: you are simply invited to lie down and listen. Everything is welcome, exactly as it is.
What might you experience afterwards?
Many people describe feeling lighter and clearer, as if tension has melted away. Some notice improved sleep or more calmness in their mind, while others experience a gentle flow of fresh energy.

Contraindications
In certain situations, it is important to be extra mindful when booking a singing bowl treatment. Please do not book a treatment if you have a fever, flu or another infectious illness, wear a pacemaker, have serious heart conditions, experience epilepsy or psychosis, or are undergoing chemotherapy. During pregnancy, a full singing bowl treatment is not recommended, particularly in the first trimester and during the final twelve weeks. This treatment is also less suitable if you have varicose veins, thrombosis, a recent injury or recent surgery. The same applies if you have metal implants or artificial joints.
A singing bowl treatment is intended for relaxation and well-being and does not replace medical care. If you have a medical condition or are unsure whether this treatment is suitable for you, always consult your treating physician first.
Singing bowl treatment
The singing bowl treatment begins with a short breathing exercise to help you arrive, followed by the gentle scent of Palo Santo and a botanical mist. During the session, I mainly work with metal, golden-coloured singing bowls with deep, warm tones. These are complemented by crystal singing bowls and, where appropriate, a crystal harp. Together they create a rich and layered soundscape that invites deep relaxation and stillness. We close with the harmonising sounds of Koshi chimes (wind gongs) and a gong, after which a botanical mist provides a gentle transition back to the here and now.
Reiki with singing bowl treatment
This treatment combines Reiki and singing bowls into a deepening moment of rest. The session begins with the scent of Palo Santo, after which Reiki creates space to slow down and release tension. The sounds and vibrations of the singing bowls then guide you into a deeper sense of stillness and relaxation. The treatment is completed with a gong, Koshi chimes and chimes, complemented by a botanical mist for a calm and gentle closing.
Please note: additional contraindications apply when Reiki is included. [Read more here]
