Japanese facial massage
Do you feel tension building up in your face, jaw, or head? The Japanese facial massage helps release that tension through gentle, rhythmic movements and pressure point stimulation. As you lie down, you’ll find yourself relaxing while your face softens and your energy begins to flow freely again.
The massage is performed with a light Ayurvedic oil that nourishes the skin and leaves you with a refreshed, balanced feeling. Many people notice not only deep relaxation afterward, but also a radiant and more vibrant look and sensation in their face and head.
Information
What is the Japanese Facial Massage?
The Japanese facial massage is an ancient technique that combines soothing massage strokes with the stimulation of meridians and pressure points. With gentle, rhythmic movements, not only your face but also your neck, shoulders, and head are treated. Because the facial muscles are directly attached to the skin, this massage has a deeply revitalizing effect: tension is released, your features soften, and your complexion gains a fresh, natural glow.
Why choose the Japanese Facial Massage?
In daily life, we often hold a lot of hidden tension in the face, neck, and shoulders—through frowning, clenching the jaw, or the constant pressure of stimuli. This massage helps you release that tension and feel more spacious again. By working with the meridians, it also supports the flow of energy throughout your entire body. It’s a moment of complete relaxation in which your skin is nourished, your breath deepens, and your mind feels clearer. Perfect if you long for inner calm, a softer expression, and a more vital sense of well-being.
What to expect
During the session, I massage not only your face but also your neck, shoulders, and head. With gentle, rhythmic movements and acupressure along the meridians, your whole system comes to rest. Your skin is treated with nourishing Ayurvedic oil tailored to your needs—refreshing, grounding, or soothing. The massage concludes with an exclusive Ayurvedic facial elixir for extra care and radiance.

Contraindications
Contraindications for the Japanese Facial Massage
The Japanese facial massage is a gentle and relaxing treatment, but it is not suitable in every situation. It is best to avoid this treatment if you have a fever, flu, or other infectious illness, if you have active acne or inflammation in the face (a few pimples are fine), or if you suffer from a herniated disc in the neck. The massage is also not recommended during pregnancy.
The treatment is less suitable if you have open wounds, skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis, or recent trauma or surgery to the face, neck, or shoulders. After cosmetic procedures such as Botox, fillers, or chemical peels, it is important to allow enough healing time before booking a massage. It is also advised against in cases of thrombosis in the neck or shoulders, allergies to oils, psychiatric treatment, or a history of psychosis.
The Japanese facial massage is intended as support for relaxation and wellbeing, and does not replace medical care. If you are unsure whether this treatment is suitable for you, please consult your physician.

Treatments
Japanese Facial Massage
The session begins with the gentle scent of Palo Santo and a refreshing botanical mist to help you settle in. Then follows the Japanese face massage: with rhythmic movements and pressure point stimulation, your face, neck, shoulders, and head are treated. This helps release tension and leaves you with a soft, refreshed appearance.
We end the session with the harmonizing sounds of Koshi chimes (wind gongs) and other instruments, creating a gentle and relaxed transition back to the present moment.
During a 1.5-hour session, we take extra time for all the techniques and finish with the soothing sounds of singing bowls and other instruments for even deeper relaxation. Please note: additional contraindications apply when sound bowls are included. [View more information here]

Your appointment is confirmed once you have received a confirmation email. Didn’t find it in your inbox? Please also check your spam folder. If you still haven’t received anything, feel free to contact me.
Clothing:
You can keep your clothes on during the Japanese Face Massage, as long as your shoulders and neck are accessible. A spaghetti strap top or strapless top works best.
Hair & make-up:
Wearing make-up is no problem. Please note that removing make-up takes about five minutes of your treatment time. If you prefer the full time to be spent on the massage, come with a clean face. Eye make-up may remain, though it might smudge slightly.
During the massage, I use oil which can make your hair a little greasy. A mirror is available so you can refresh your hair afterwards if you wish.
