Chi-Wit back massage

Tension in the back or a full, restless mind can make it difficult to truly relax. The Chi-Wit back massage invites you to let go and experience a renewed sense of space. Using a combination of Thai, Vietnamese and Indian massage techniques, the back is treated with care, allowing built-up tension to soften. With a focus on the spine — seen as the tree of life — the natural flow of energy along this line is invited to move more freely, which many people experience as greater calm and spaciousness within themselves.

Information

What is the Chi-Wit Back Massage?

Chi-Wit means Tree of Life and refers to the spine: a central line in the body where many nerves come together and from which connection is made with the rest of the system. When tension and stress accumulate here, it can be felt in how you feel: both physically and mentally.

The Chi-Wit back massage is a calm, attentive treatment that combines techniques from Thai, Vietnamese and Indian traditions. Through a rhythm of gentle, flowing movements and, where needed, firmer techniques, the back and spine are carefully worked. Alongside the physical massage, attention is also given to the energetic aspect of the treatment, inviting the natural flow along the spine to move more freely again.

Why choose the Chi Wit Back Massage?

Many people notice that tension settles in the back, neck and shoulders: due to stress, emotions or prolonged physical strain. This can show up as stiffness, fatigue or a heavy feeling in the body. The Chi-Wit back massage focuses on softening and releasing this built-up tension. By working both physically and energetically along the spine, space is created in the body and calm in the mind. In the energetic part of the treatment, attention is given to the upward flow of kundalini energy, which many people experience as a sense of flow, vitality and inner spaciousness.

What can you expect?

During the session, the back, neck and shoulders are massaged using a combination of relaxing, rhythmic movements and deeper techniques to release held tension. The backs of the legs and briefly the feet are also included, allowing the body as a whole to relax and flow more freely. The massage unfolds at a calm pace and takes place in silence.

What might you experience?

Many people experience after the Chi-Wit back massage:

  • less tension in the back, neck and shoulders

  • a deep state of relaxation

  • increased flexibility and freedom of movement

  • a sense of flow and spaciousness in the body

  • greater clarity and vitality

Each experience is different and can vary from moment to moment. Some people feel lighter and more relaxed in their body afterwards, while others mainly notice a deep sense of calm or softening. You may also feel more present in your body or experience more space in your mind. Everything is welcome and unfolds at a pace that suits you.

Contraindications

The Chi-Wit back massage is a relaxing treatment, but it is not suitable in all situations. It is important not to book a massage if you have an infectious illness, such as fever, flu, a severe cold or a throat infection. In cases of epilepsy, ongoing psychiatric treatment or a history of psychosis, the massage is only possible after consultation with your treating physician. The treatment is also not recommended if you have high blood pressure or diabetes that requires medication, cancer, heart conditions or heart rhythm disorders, or open wounds.

The massage is also less suitable if you experience thrombosis, severe varicose veins, skin problems or contagious skin conditions, or if you have recently experienced trauma or undergone surgery. If you use blood thinners, massage may be less appropriate. During the first three months of pregnancy, this treatment is not recommended; unfortunately, I am also unable to offer the Chi-Wit back massage later in pregnancy, as it is difficult to perform in a side-lying position.

The Chi-Wit back massage is intended to support relaxation and well-being and does not replace medical care. If you are unsure whether this treatment is suitable for you, always consult your treating physician first.

Chi-Wit back massage

The treatment begins with the gentle scent of Palo Santo and a botanical mist, allowing you to arrive calmly. The back is then massaged using a combination of relaxing and energetic techniques, with the spine as the central focus. The backs of the legs and a short foot massage are also included, supporting overall relaxation and a greater sense of grounding. We finish with the harmonising sounds of Koshi chimes and a botanical mist, creating a soft transition back to the here and now.

You can choose a session of 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes. With a 90-minute treatment, there is more space for all techniques and, if desired, we conclude with a relaxing singing bowl experience. If you are unsure about the duration or combination, I’m happy to discuss this with you upon arrival.  [View more information and contraindications for sound bowls]
